A MISSION TO FIX BEFORE SIX

In April 2021 the Children's Airway First Foundation set out on our mission to ensure that every child has access to screening, evaluation, and treatment of all children's airway disorders prior to the age of six. Sleep issues, mouth breathing, an inability to focus or concentrate, lack of energy, and even depression are all symptoms that can be traced back to childhood airway disorders.

Children's airway disorders can affect how babies and children breathe, eat, sleep, learn, and develop. Many disorders are diagnosable at or before birth; however, many of the signs are missed during the initial birth screening as the APGAR examination does not currently require review for these signs or symptoms.
